Lively Lunch: Advance Care Planning - If Not Now, When?

Do you know where your Advance Care Directive is?
If your answer is “I don’t know,” “I don’t have one,” or “It’s been years since I updated it,” now is the time to take action. Also, if  you receive (or  a diagnosis or your health has declined, it’s important to revisit your directive. In Jewish tradition, we honor life by taking proactive steps to protect and plan for our future.

Join Andy Schauer, Estate Attorney, and Stefanie Elkins, Senior Outreach Advocate and End of Life Doula, for an interactive workshop. They’ll provide a brief overview of advance care planning with prompts and tips. Bring your current Advance Care Directive (or we can provide one), and use this dedicated time to reflect and update it with support from Andy, Stefanie, and the group.

This program is hosted by Kol Tikvah in collaboration with SAYVA.

Schedule:
  • 12:30-1:00 PM: Communal Lunch (provided by SAYVA)
  • 1:00-1:30 PM: Brief Presentation on key Advance Care Planning questions
  • 1:30-2:30 PM: Work Session to update your paperwork with assistance
